James Avery

Mr. Avery is a founding Principal with Aldwych Capital Partners. Since 2009 Mr. Avery has focused on development of a broad range of product offerings for ACP, underwriting and negotiating principal investments in both domestic and emerging markets and growing the firm’s advisory services. He has lead the Firm’s growth efforts across industry segments and geographies, heading recruiting efforts of best in class advisors.

Mr. Avery has 15 years of finance and consulting experience across several billion dollars of engagements including public and private company financing, M&A experience and emerging markets special situations; he has worked with CBRE Consulting, McKinsey&Company, Goldman Sachs Real Estate Investment Banking, and oversaw sourcing and underwriting with the Latin American Development Fund where he was a principal through 2009.

Mr. Avery holds an MBA from Columbia University focusing on finance and international markets, MsC from New York University concentrating in real estate finance, as well as a graduate degree in finance and accounting from the London School of Economics. He earned a B.A. in philosophy from Boston College. Mr. Avery holds series 24, 7 and 63 licenses.
